What this site collects

This site can be viewed without creating an account or submitting a form. If standard server logs are enabled by your hosting provider, they may collect basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and visit timing for security and diagnostics.

If you email contact@bescamwise.com, your message and contact details will be received through normal email systems so the team can respond.

Cookies and trackers: This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find the site and which articles are most helpful. Google Analytics uses cookies and may collect basic technical data such as approximate location, device type, and pages viewed; Google stores this data on its servers and we use it in aggregate. We do not use it to identify you personally, and this site does not run advertising at this time. Google's own privacy policy applies to how Google handles analytics data (policies.google.com/privacy), and you can opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Visitors in regions that require consent before cookies are set (such as the European Union) will be asked for that consent before analytics cookies are placed. If advertising or additional trackers are added in the future, this policy will be updated and consent will be requested before any new tracking begins.

Email alerts

If you sign up for scam alerts, we keep your email address and the date you signed up. That is the whole record — no name, no phone number, no location, no profile.

We use it to send two kinds of email:

• A welcome note when you first sign up, explaining what to expect.
• One short email when we publish a new guide, with a summary and a link to the full article on this site.

We do not sell, rent, or share your address, and we do not use it for anything other than those emails. We do not run advertising on this site at this time, and we will not start sending advertising to this list without asking you first.

Leaving the list is one click. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link that takes effect straight away — there is no login, no form to fill in, and no "are you sure?" runaround. If you would rather we remove the address by hand, email contact@bescamwise.com and we will do it.

Every email also tells you who it is from and includes our postal address, as the law requires. If you believe you have received an email claiming to be from Scam Wise that you did not ask for, please tell us at contact@bescamwise.com — we would rather hear about it than not.

What this site does not do

• No user registration or account login.
• No member dashboard or stored profile data on the site itself.
• No newsletter advertising, no sponsors sending to the email list, and no sharing of subscriber addresses with anyone.
• No payment processing or checkout features.
